Another reason why I hate the syndicated version as 1:29-2:20 is missing. Not only did they cut out KITT's only line in this scene, but Buddy got to be the first character (after Michael) to react to a talking car. And those other drivers are given a bit more character here before their scenes later on.

1:19 Some people seem to think cuz KITT and Bonnie both mention the loss of the molecular bonded shell, KITT never gets it back after this episode. Despite him appearing to be indestructible again next episode onwards. And his shell even gets mentioned again in "Knight Flight to Freedom". I think they just meant they didn't have the shell coating or equipment with them to reapply it to KITT when he was being restored as they were in Chicago away from FLAG HQ. Plus Jennifer Knight was making things difficult for them as she'd been attempting to phase out FLAG altogether.

KITT's shell was obviously restored after "Juggernaut" using Devon's knowledge and that of Dr. Von Voormann from "JYD" (Whom I theorise was the third guy who had the formula), plus if I were them, I'd call April and Elliott for their heat resistant formulas to beef it up, and make the shell denser (How else do you explain KITT surviving the molten lava)

Turbo Boost made KITT go faster....but then it made him JUMP!!! Why not have a JUMP button...and use TURBO BOOST for high speed acceleration!!!
